no point, just a touch of humor to a dry thread. helps two ways, funny and a bump built into one. but I will go with what was said above about the tire size recal allowing the tranny to shift better knowing the corrected speed of the truck.

Well that was an image I could have lived without!

What is that referring to (relflashed #)

^^^ I don't know of any reflashes out for his new truck, I had a flash done on mine for a few things and thats where they put the sticker, if there was something out for his thats where they would put it. I doubt the 04'5 flash would be the same but my tsb # is at the end of my sig.

Im gonna talk to the dodge dealer in fort worth tomorrow and find out if they charge for the reflash that maze had done. If it is at no charge then I wonder what flack I will receive for the mods. Cant do anything anyway Im not asking them to fix sumthin broke, just to give me the update they feel is in order to attatch a tsb# to it. I also wonder if it is different for 6spds.

Do any of you tranny guys know how this would affect the electronic tranny on the CTD....would that be a possible reason for crisper and quicker shifts...more response...etc after they did the fix...or is it all in my mind?

I am going in this afternoon to have the pinion factor reprogrammed for the new tires, (see gallery) I was told it would normally be $90, but he is a Friend of mine so I guess I am lucky.

you cannot program pinion factor on an 06, only 05 and older, you have to enter the given tire size which the biggest is a 285-70-17 which is still off for a 35" tire, a 35" tire does 600revs per mile a 285 does 630 revs per mile about 4 miles per hour off still.
