My Dealer just did alitle something extra to my 06

Well I brought the truck in to have small rattle in the door fixed and a weather seal fixed and have them reprogram the truck for the 35's, and all I have to say is wow. I'm not sure what they did, but it takes off alot faster than it did a week ago when it had stock tires and shifts perfectly, and the best part, they only charged me $38 bucks.....

check up on the cross member above the radiator, see if there is a sticker witha reflash number on it, not sure if there will be one but they are required to post it if indeed they relflashed it.

I wonder if that reflash is the one out for the 06 that is supposed to help the hard start and something to do with the shifting. I will let everyone know what that reflash does after tomorrow. That's when they are going to do mine.

Looked everywhere and no sticker. I'll call tomorrow and find out what they did. Should I ask for something specific when you guys are saying reflash?

When they reflash . They are supposed to put a sticker under the hood with the # of the reflash on it. My dealer allways put the sticker on the cross member on top of the radiator.

I believe the reason your feeling that is because of the speedo correction for the tires. The shift points have changed. The TCM/ECM now knows it has bigger tires. My brother mentioned something similar on his.

But it's actually more responsive then when I had stock tires on it a week ago, and trust me I know the difference my other car is a Porsche...

I noticed a nice increase when they reprogrammed my speedo for the 35's. I'd been running oversize since the first month I owned the truck and had gotten used to the way it felt. Had it reprogrammed and it completely changed. Tranny shifted better, it accelerated better, brakes felt better, it just felt different.

We're not sure if it's a reflash or not. All I asked for was for them to reprogram the CTD for the tire size, I'll know in the moring...

I had mine reflash done on my 06 today. I did not feel anything diff. as far as power. But the trans shift is a lot smoother than before. It is like driving one of there chevy's now.

well thats good to know, it can be so traumatic on such a young truck to get flashed by a mechanic innocently wearing a trenchcoat and holding out his scan tool
