Muffler reccommendations
I've just about settled that I'm going to get an exhaust off of Rip Rook. He has replied to every one of my emails quickly and has always given me the information I need.
I'm looking at a 5" exhaust but I've not settled on a muffler. Rip can provide the stock Diamond Eye muffler or any other muffler he carries for an extra fee. I thought about a straight through Nelson or Donaldson along with the cat.
I really want the exhaust to be as quiet as possible so am I correct in wanting the Nelson or Donaldson muffler instead of the Diamond Eye?
I know I'll have to weld my own hangers but thats ok.
Also how does the tip on Rips systems look, anyone have any pictures?
Thank you for your help!

I have ran a few mufflers and I like the diamond eye. it is quiet inside now and it actually worked on my truck. I like the looks too. ive seen the donaldson in person and its too big for a pickup I think. mine still has a deep tone with 5" but its not loud at all.

Just put on my 51" donaldson becuase everyone said it sounds like stock @ idle. Well it does NOT sound stock at all.
The muffler did come with the baffle, and I did punch it out, but from what I have read everyone does it, and still has the "like stock" sound.
My exhaust sounds very similar to my friends mbrp, which is not what I was looking for.
Oh well, live and learn.

I like my Power Pinnacle by Jarradine. It is a great Cat back kit for $250, for a 4". It has a great sound on the low end and only really gets loud and deep when you get on hard.
