Does anyone know if there is a pipe to replace the muffler being made or should I just go to a muffler shop and them make one?

Heres one that you can buy Muffler Elimination Kit ('04.5 - '05 Trucks
I made my own with a 4" pipe. I took the muffler off and cut the 3 1/2 adaptor off the tail end and put it on the pipe comming off the engine then welded my 4" in the middle. it didn't butt up right so there was some gaps to fill but not to bad for $15.00

www.jegs.com sells sections of 4 inch cheap, and bands.
like $40 for pipe and 2 clamps, i think
i can't find them on thier website, but they are in the catalog.
the bent pipe would be better.
if you use the straight pipe, you will need a tip to get the end of the pipe out from under the bed.
pep boys has a tip for $42

Thanks for the info. Did you notice a huge increase in the noise level? I know it will be louder, but is it uncomfortable? Did you notice a drone like i have heard of ?

bocuso,
If you want a bolt on muffler made just for your 2005 Dodge take a look at the MBRP performance replacement muffler. It's an easy install and has welded hangers on it that re use the stock rubber mounts, built from 409 stainless like the rest of the stock system too. Sounds great and is an easy install too. Check with the memebers here and at other sites, lots of them have it on their trucks.
