muffler install question

I have a 4" MBRP muffler I want to put on my rig . The stock muffler has offset to it and the MBRP is straight through with no offset. How do I get this thing fit ?
Thx

It will work. All it does is change the angle of the tailpipe exit. I like it better that way. I did it on my current truck and two previous trucks...

You can either geta muffler delete pipe with the offsets close together or get 2 45* bends and weld them together to make the offset like this:

NAPA can get them, Cummins or any industrial kinda exhaust place.
I bet wherever you get your parts locally will be able to order you them.

Any problems with your band clamps ? I was told by two different exhaust shops that the 4" band clamps are notorious for coming loose. I have a cat delete pipe I want to use but I need to be able to take in and out for emissions testing. The band clamps would be the easiest way to do it but was told not to use band clamps.

Since you are considering replacing the offset muffler with a straight thru then just picture what you are doing. The outlet of the muffler is not in the same position therefore the inlet for the tailpipe will have to be shifted over a few inches to mate with the muffler. Now, the tailpipe hangs on that mount near the back and if you move the front of the tailpipe then it will consequentially cause the rear of it to move in the opposite direction. Can you picture what I mean? Either way it does not make a big difference in the tailpipe exit but it does move a bit...

As far as the bandclamps go, you really need to crank down on them with an impact wrench or they will surely come loose. I crank and crank and crank on them until they won't get any tighter. Then I run a self tapping screw into each joint so the pipes will not move around inside each other. I did not do that on my first truck and was constantly having to re-adjust my tailpipe because it would start to hang lower and lower all the time....

U-clamps work better but once you put them on there and crank down on them you won't get those pipes apart ever again....
