Check with the local truck supply places. I had $50 tied up in a chunk of 4" pipe and 2 band clamps on my 04. A straight chunk of pipe works just fine. Just need to have someone hold the tailpipe where ya want it while ya tighten the clamps. Only time drone is slightly noticable is with a heavy load. ie my 35" 5ver pulling a grade.

Doing this will allow the muffler pipe to expand enough to slide it off of the other pipes. A little penetrating oil, and alot of wiggling is required at this point. Put something under the converter to help stabilize the head pipe so you don't risk damaging it, or the turbo while fighting the muffler. As an added bonus, this excercise is good for stress relief, and burns approximately 1500 calories in 15 minutes. If you want to put the muffler back on later simply squeeze the muffler pipe back together using the same mounting clamps that you took off to begin with.
This is teh same method I used to remove the stock muffler.

Took all of 10-15mins to remove stock, install delete, and button it down.

I just clamped it for the 'test' run...made sure I liked the sound, and then ran a bead all the way around it.

One note of caution - be sure to put something between your tail pipe and your lower rear 1/4 panel. When you slide the muffler off, the pipe goes up and will try to dent/scratch your rear 1/4 behind the tire.
