mpg increase with bd?
Has anyone actually noticed an increase in mileage with the bully dog? At around 2000 miles I drove from Okc to Dallas with bd on tow/economy and got 18.6 hand calculated. At around 9500 miles I drove from Okc to Dallas with the bd unistalled and got 18.9, but I did have a bed cover on this last trip. Both trips I ran around 75mph most of the time. I'm pretty sure the bed cover is actually making my mileage worse. So could I actually be getting better mileage without the bd?? I've been trying to hit that magical 20 mpg mark.

I think the added mileage on the truck is showing the increased mpg in the stock configuration. Id say do it again WITH the BD installed with the extra mileage and see the results.
My truck has 1500 miles on it, so my results with the Bully Dog still vary.

NEW GUY, wish I had your mileage. I just made the same run from austin to oklahoma city and back this weekend for the boat races with just me and a suit case, cruise set at 74 ,1950rpms and got a awsome 15.2 mpg. Just turned 6000 on the odometer. I can only dream of these 18 to 20 mpg
I have buddys here in austin with the older cummins getting the mileage I do pulling 40 foot race trailers.

My 06 q/c 4x4 l/b w/ auto trans and 4500 miles on the clicker get's 16-17 mpg at 75 mph with a/c blowing wide open the whole time. By the way, it is bone stock other than the amsoil drop in air filter.

I just do a wide area search and find a rare trucker that is doing 62 or so , and just tuck in behind him. I'm retired and at 3.10 per gallon, I have no choice. It's either go slower or stay home!
