the knuckles ain't that bad, but the pitman arm....well, i felt like i'd had an extended run in with polly and her 5 sisters my arm was so dead!! i found a 3/4" bit at ace hardware for like 27 bucks, can't remember exactly what it was made out of, but i think it was just as sharp when i finished as it was when i started!!

now why would i want to trade this fire-breathing gasser in on a loud, stinky, high maintenance oil burner?? nah, seriously, it would be nice, but the little gasser does what i need it to do...and with baby #3 due in a couple months...it ain't gonna happen anytime soon!!

I've seen Bilstein 7100's corrode bad. They may be zinc coated but they will corrode.

do you think the pitman arm is harder? or is it because of where it is?

even with the junk skyjacker coils....it's still AWESOME. the steering is MUCH tighter. it's kinda hard to explain, but it's like you can feel all the road through the steering wheel (in a good way), and there's no more wandering.

it's a combination of both, but it's more because of how hard it is...it's a slow process. with my 18v dewalt, it probably took me 30 minutes to get all the way through, and i went through 2 batteries.

It's easier to pull the Pitman arm and ream it on the drill press...
