the orange w/ white stripe behind the light switch is the dimmer wire, i found it quite easy too get at, seeing as the wire was the closest too the panel. There is enough slack too bring the wire out further too tap into it!! I used it for my lighting, and i used the pink wire under the dash right beside the left kick panel for my switched 12v source.
diesel-manor tech support sucks!!!

before i start cuttlng and splicing, what is that pink wire for? also, mine is an 07 and i see no orange w/white stripe in the dimmer harness. only orange with brown...2 of them.. diesel manor says it is one of these wires i should be using....[ pink wires sounds a lot easier than de-assembling dash to get to the cigarette lighter though......

ok, guys i figured it out....got the lighting done and about to finish tapping into the cig lighter.....the instructions i got to remove the floor console shift boot and such were unnecesseary...the console around the radio just pulls out with a slight tug and right behind it is the cig lighter wiring....thanks to everyone including fisherguy and shane. now that it is almost done, it is not as hard as it seemed....i guess just because the truck is new and not knowing what lurks behind everyhting made it harder and scarier than it really is...now that i know where everything is, if i were to do it again it could probably be done in about an hour or so.....
thanks guys,
darren
