Module for towing..what improvement?
Okay guys, let this bone stocker ask a simple question. Everywhere I read how the Cummins can tow a skyscaper off it's foundation if you can get it hitched up. Then what specifically will a basic module like a 65 HP EZT do for me while towing? What's the need? I can see it for the enhance mileage potential, but as a towing enhancement it just baffles me. Thanks!

I have asked myself this same question before. Why do I need more. It's a man thing. I allways want more. I have run mine stock and love it. Allthough rideing in my friends chipped one. Makes me have second thoughts to why mine is stock.

My truck stock, pulling my enclosed motorcycle trailer with 5 bikes in it would shift out of overdrive all the time on bigger hills.
Now it stays in O.D and doesn't have to work as hard.

I have noticed 2 things for the better on my truck since I installed the XZT while pulling our 11k 5th wheel. First I can run OD in tow/haul mode and very rarely will it come out of OD even on most hills. Stock I could not pull the same hills I do now without it dropping out of OD.
Second I have gained 2 mpg both empty and while towing the 5th wheel over what I was getting stock. For the $265 a paid for my box it has more than paid for itself.

this is how my obsession started,, adding a little extra for pulling, started with a power pup,, then as I learned more and more I have what you see in my sig,, except the power pup will probably never be installed in my truck again,, so many better units out there IMHO. Now I want to climb 9% grades in OD with my 37' 5th wheel. Im real real close to that too

Leave it stock till your warranty runs out.Believe me,you dont want the hassle that the dealers will give you when you take it in on warranty repairs. They are getting very picky now-a-days.
