Napa , this is all I know right now , but the 6.7 coming out next year is running 2100 bar rail relief valve, and CP3. just put one together last week for field testing. we also changed the injector lines also to handle the increase in rail pressure, in talking with the engineer assign to it , all they did was coat the pump piston and body with something... dont know what, but he wasnt giving out to much info yet.

this is all I could get out of them right now , Cummins will not be investing that much money on two ISB and that is all they would say, one being the 5.9 and the other being 6.7 , so I would think they would have had a different signature for the 6.7 . unless the 5.9 is a not going to be around after 06. we took the motor mount right off the 5.9 and onto the 6.7, then slap the engine back in. it is a nonstructural block and will be in limited production on the assembly line in January for nonroad use. they are completely different in fuel systems and also in the breather blow-by filtering. but still use the CP3 , bigger rail and lines. and with the 6.7 , they also have a PM filtering system for muffler with the engine injectors supplying the extra fuel in the exh. to keep the muffler hot for regen. where with the larger engine we have a injector just to supply heat to the muffler after the turbo. LOL the injector after the turbo is also watercooled. man all the things we have to look forward to in 07 and on. cant wait to see what in store for 2010 engines.

While it sounds like larger displacement is something to look forward to, it looks like they're slowly caving (they may have no choice) on all of the emissions equipment.

I'm eager to hear more about upgraded cp3's!
