That mix will create some pretty high cylinder pressures.

I have no idea about either one but all I hear is that the two don't play well together. It seems its better to stick with one or the other rather than using both. But like i said - i don't know.

Ice

Water+Meth+Nitrous = ICE You would want to inject at different locations. not together

I would get your head o-ring and the block fireringed. Nos is hard on the head gasket. Dump in methanol your gonna be pushing the it. I saw that your running ARP's. Thats good. I would do at least a re-torque before pushing the nos button. I would contact jetpilot and see what he has run. I would have a pressure switch so that the nos doesn't trigger until at least 25psi. Get a bottle warmer. As for methanol, the -40c winter windshield washer stuff works great and its cheap. Its half and half methanol/distilled water.

chw:

I would suggest doing a search on water/methanol on the site as there has been alot of threads posted on it.

My suggestion to you is not to ever run more than a 40% mixture of methanol to water! The reason for that is because methanol will "cook off" quicker in the cylinder than diesel fuel will and it can cause internal damage to your engine! High concentrations of methanol to water (say above 50%)
can also cause some bad "detonation" in the Cummins Engine. Detonation in a diesel sounds similar to what "spark ping" sounds like in a gasoline engine.

Also, I do not recommend running windshield washer fluid with your water. Why? Because the stuff is mixed to inconsistently! In one jug you might have a concentration of 10% and in another it might be 25%.
If you decide to run it, I would purchase a gallon of pure methanol from a race shop or supplier and mix it with distilled water myself. I am running water injection on my 1996 Dodge CTD but because of the mechanical timing on my truck I just run distilled water with a "lubricant" to keep the engine, water pump etc. from forming any rust.

As far as firerings or o-rings, my preference is the firerings! They are alot thicker and IMO tougher. Also, my preference is to firering the block, not the head, but I realize that cost ($$$) can become a factor there if that is a consideration for you.

Anyway,......hope this helps you some and good luck on whatever you decide.

I spoke to the guys at snow the yesterday and he said that he runs the washer fluid in his own rig and he doesnt have any complaints. I suppose it is possible to have a different amount of meth in it bottle to bottle. I think I would like to do my own tests though. What does it take to test it yourself? Before I consider it unreiable and go through the steps and the extra work I would like to know how consistent or inconsistent it is from one company to another.

I would o-ring the head and fire ring the block. You might want to consider using a copper gasket as they hold-up to the hi-boost operation better than stock gasket. My opinion its too much effort and down time to fire ring. If you limit your pop-off valves to around 45psi. You should have lots of protection. Even though you think this is too low, once you use NOS/meth your actual boost will be around the 60psi range. You really don't need much more boost for what for the kind of power numbers your gonna run. This will help to save your head gasket and you will make nearly the same amount of power doing this. Get a bottle warmer. Too many guys think that your making tons of power running big boost numbers, but you might be just adding extra back pressure for no extra power. Also Nos (oxidizer) will clean-up any unburnt fuel thats in the cylinder.
