We changed the nozzles on the 2 that were acting up Saturday. They are fine now. All 6 run good. Those 2 nozzles were coated in aluminum and 1 other ( number 4 ) got pretty hot too. Although it tested fine, it has enough color to cause concern. Nice a violet/blue colored = not good.
IMO, you got the engine pretty toasty at some point and it was enough to melt to pistons.
Got any details on the engine? parts used, etc? Towing heavy?

Don M,
I'm going to give Malcolm a call after work today to see if he has an update, but if you have a chance, did my injectors and Helix2 ship out yet?
Thanks,
Lee

I got the injectors out of here last week. Wednesday I think. The cam = not yet. I hope to have one ready to go today, worse case, tomorrow.
Just to recap, the injectors were not bad, but originally tested bad because the nozzles were coated in aluminum from the melted pistons. Once we replaced the nozzles they were great.
I made the injectors a 1.6.
Hope this helps.

ldzielak,
Saw your truck the other day.
Your rings showed up and were sent off to the machine shop.....By a very cute little thing!
You're in good hands!

Thanks for the update, didn't get a chance to call Malcolm today to see what is up. HTT got my turbo today, it shipped down to them back on the 4th. They turned it right back around and were going to get it back out today too. You have to love that kind of service

Sounds great about the cam, now lets see what makes it up to Nanaimo first, cam or turbo. I would love to have my truck back on the 27th. I don't get to go home to see my family untill my truck is fixed
