Me, or common?
With the 6spd, and trying to go quick from stop, is it me, or is 2nd gear useless? start from third is sluggish at first, but hard on clutch, plus, I cannot power brake to get it going, is it just me? Probably, but thought I would throw it out, thanks yall

I have that problem on the 4th to 5th, and I have the Bd short shifter kit (its supposed to help eliminate that, but it doesn't). If I don't hit 5th right on time it will jam a couple of time before letting me in.

When I hammer down on mine I shift from 2nd to 3rd about as soon as the truck is moving.I've missed the 2nd to 3rd a bunch of times and hung the rpm's at 4000.
rip, that short shifter IMO hurts the shift speed. It shortens the pattern but makes each gear have a slight notch you have to get by before it goes in.

I really think the short shifter helped me alot, yea its a little notchy, but I've gotten used to it, it only doesn't help me on the 4th to 5th because its so close if you don't hit it right it will get caught between 3rd and 5th. When I drive my friends nv5600 I can notice the difference and it feels noticeably longer, but I can agree with you I don't think it will shave any real time off the process, the nv5600 goes into gear when its ready, not when we're ready.
