Hunter11,
I would go under there and see if there are any rub marks on any of the pipes or muffler. When towing the engine will rotate quite a bit in the mounts, if that is happening there will be a lot of racket going on etc. Other than that I am stumped, unless you have an empty/hollow cat from the factory, that would be rare but could happen etc.

Hunter11, I am, surprised as well. I put on the MBRP muffler and was surprised that it was not really much louder than stock. Now when I am hauling and smash the throttle to get up the hills, it does get louder but certainly not unbearable - just a nice, soft mellow tone. I would certainly check the clamps and check for leaks. If you find leaks you may want to try band clamps - if that is the issue.

I will check out the system this weekend for anything rubbing. I don't have any leaks as I have already gone through that process. A hollow cat from the factory, I would certainly not have a problem with that.

I just installed mine today. Holy crap what a job it turned out to be!! Nothing ever goes together easy for me. I had to cut the stock muffler off because the pipes were crimped so bad from the stock clamps that they wouldn't budge!! Then after getting it out and the MBRP installed the rear hanger for the tailpipe wouldn't line up and I know all the pipes were lined up and in as far as they would go(they were past the little buttons on the stock pipe). Then of course I had two leaks on the top. Said screw it and took it to my buddies shop and welded everything, heated up the hangers and bent them so they all lined up better, and put a new hanger on the tailpipe. Yeah it was a PITA but it sounds great. Just once I'd like something to go together easy!!! Ok, I feel better now............

Pull U 2,
I bet you had the muffler in reversed, it's easy to do as the hangers are very near the opposite of what you might think. Had a couple of customers do the same thing in the past, it works fine just a PITA to install etc. Glad you got it installed anyway and are liking it!

Hello:
Please PM a price for 2002 Ram 2500 turbo back 4". The previous owner of my truck has a 5" turbo back exhaust on the truck now. It is rubbing the spare tire and right rear shock.
Thanks!

I will tell you guys what, Mark and his crew is a super bunch. I got all my stuff from them. AFE Stage 2, Juice and 4" MBRP Cat back. I had most of the stuff shipped to save the TN tax, but stoped in to pick out the tip. Top notch mail order outfit I got the cat elim pipe too, but I had a hell of a time with the removal cause of the crimps too, by the time I was done I didn't want to mess with the cat, But I sounds really mellow, even with a 22' runabout in tow. I rally don't think I will take the cat off now!
