Question Max Fuel Pressure

Hello All,

I just wanted to see what you guys have seen for the max fuel pressures on your guages, so I know if I should get a 30psi, 75 psi or 150psi sending unit for mine.

Thanks,

Bryce

I have an 03 with an electric Autometer gauge installed and I am seeing max of about 9 psi. If I go with the AirDog or FASS system I will probably set it to 10-12 psi.

I had the new Autometer electric fuel pressure gauge(0-30psi) and FASS system installed couple of months ago. Idle fuel pressure is 18psi, normal driving 15-17psi and WOT drops to 12-13psi and climbs back up.

Hijacking my own thread

Well it sounds like the 0-30 PSI guage will work fine. On another note. Dogger I saw that your signature has the TAG III. I was curious if it was worth looking into and what the benefits are for it.

Thanks,

Bryce

I ran 7psi stock. I bought a 15psi gauge. I put the FASS in, now my gauge is pegged. ooops -- should have bought a 30!!!

By the way -- stay away from Stewart-Warner Maximum Performance Gauges. I'm not going to elaborate on that, but if you do a search on my name, you should be able to find me belly-aching about a half dozen problems I had with them. BAD design.
