Put on the rear diff cover(bought from geno's) last night. man that thing looks sharp under there . But, if the price of the cover alone doesnt kill you, the price of 8 quarts of Redline lube @ $13/ quart will!
2 gallons in the rear diff.

However, the redline fluid I drained last night went in at 15k, and drained last night at 30K. Looked just like new. so instead of just draining every 15k, i was thinking of taking a sample and sending it off. What'dya think?

 

How much has the alloy surcharge driven up the price of those Mags?

I usually skip diff fluid changes when it looks so good at service intervals...

 

I intentionally left my Geno's catalog open to that page with a note written on it as a hint for Father's Day!. I left the catalog in the kitchen on the island the other morning. It was gone when I came in that evening....... The wife has either ordered it or threw my catalog away!!!.. If I don't see my dif. cover next weekend, I'll order it myself the following Monday!.
BTW, I put some temperature strip tapes on my factory cover about 3 weeks ago, the temperature has gotten as high as 190 degrees. Anybody got a gage in theirs???? This about normal temps???

 

My rear diff gauge has reached 175*F towing when the ambient is 90*F... sounds normal to me.

 

poor man, when that happens here, it means my catalog has been thrown away.

the cover was $260. ouch.
