Mag Hytec Rear Diff Cover ?
I saw a thread saying the rear Mag Hytec diff cover does not line up properly because it was made for a GM and two of the flange bolts did not line up. Has anyone had this experience or did someone maybe get the wrong diff cover ? I am trying to decide between the Mag-Hytec and the PMLs. Any insight ?

I can't see a single reason to buy the mag hytec over the PML, can anyone provide one, aside from fancier looks?
I'm not sure about the current Mag-Hytec offering - but the first covers out from them were made for GM, so the bottom bolt hole had to be filled with silicone. Also there were clearance issues with the cover hitting the spare tire.

Can't speak to the Mag-Hytec and filling holes with silicon on an AAM truck because I have a Dana and I had to fill no holes. As Lightman said, I went with Mag-Hytec because I liked the look better (at least for the Dana 80, PML's fins were curved, in what was to me a strange pattern). It was a personal decision. I believe (correct me if I am wrong) that the PML has a magnet on the drain plug. With the Mag-Hytec, the magnet is on the dipstick, therefore I can pull it and clean it anytime I want without "pulling the plug". That being said, the PML is less money, so that is a huge plus for it for a lot of people.
Out of curiousity, do the 3rd gens. have a factory re-usable gasket (not silicon) on the stock covers?
Either way, you'll be happy.
