Lucus fuel additive.
Is anyone using the lucus fuel additive. It's very easy to find where I'm at and very cheap. A PSD owner at the gas station told that's what he's using and he see's 1-2mpg increase. He also said it's very oily. any thoughts, pros and cons?
thanks Jamie

I have been using it for about for about two years , seem to be good stuff. I cant find anything to match there extreme cold weather formula. No gell down to - 20 or lower

I've used it, no complaints here. And agree on the cold weather, never had gelling of fuel. Ran allot of Washington state to Boston in the winter across I-80. So cold that a pair of pac boots would have been nice while driving. Lucas works, many a frozen truck on the sides of the road, we just kept going. Frozen toes and all, and we weren't driving a cab over. Now that is cold.

You're in Florida! You don't have to worry about your fuel jelling, do you?
Buy it, it works. And you should see some mileage improvements. Keeps everything nice and slippery, and the injectors happy.

yes ( Lucas upper cylinder lubricant) is the summer stuff. It does state gas & diesel. I recently bought some schaffers fuel treatment for summer use. But for winter, cant beat the Lucas Extreme. I am also using Schaffers 15/40 diesel oil. It flows like 5/30 in the cold. Do some research on schaffers oil. they have been around so long they used to make the grease for wagon wheels.
