i had to remove the overloads, flip the blocks and add shackles to get here:

I also added monroe shocks and trimmed the bumpstops a little. it squats when I tow now but its a give and take with lowered trucks.

good looking truck, are your shackles the same as mine and CLeger67's? If so did you have the same porblem with them hitting the frame? If not what brand are yours and where did you get them. Yours is also a 2500, those came with overloads ,i didnt know that. My 99 dodge was easy to remove the O.L. due that you just unbolted the pads and left the spring alone , if i remember our 3rd gens are not like that.

I really like that look big begum! I want to lower my truck somewhat too,, but mine is a 4x4,, so I am not sure what I am all up against yet.. start out by flipping the blocks and pulling my leveling kit out and see what that gives me

anyone else lowered a 4x4 before?

His sig says they are AIM shackles so I'm guessing they are.

I think yall's trucks look great. If mine was a 2WD, it would look just the same.

Today I took off the overload springs, this netted me another 3/4". Ride seems to have smoothed out a little but with the shackles hitting it's still bumpy I talked to a mechanic today and asked about the shackle problem. He claims notching out the leaf spring hanger a little so the shackle can clear would work. Anybody know different? Here's the newest pic, 3/4" closer to my goal.

This is the economy drop. So far under $100 cuts bruises and a lot of bad language is all that's invested.

Needs another 1" in the front, 1 1/2" in the rear, a little shorter tires, remove the step bars, and de-emblem and remove moldings.

Thats what Id do. Still looks good, though. That 3/4" in. made a difference.

My shackles on my old truck were the samw way. They were the shorter ones. But on the one I have now it is going to take the longer ones to drop it.

The shorter ones only got me about a half inch aswell so i went and got some spring clamps and that got me another inch.

Allways Lost could you tell me what spring clamps are? And did your short style shackles hit the frame and give troubles like CLeger67's??? Men get this crap, i called Trucking Suspension back today to see what the hold ups been, Again they said we show you ordered on the 11th and on the 12th we......, i said you what, he said wellllll it looks like maybe they didnt ship!!!!!! Can you believe that! He said can i cancel your order! I said if i didnt want them i would not have ordered to begin with. I ask if they have had any prob.'s or complaints with them hitting or rubbing, he said Oh No [of course] they fit great, no issues. I relayed CLeger67's problem to him and he said he HAD to get the wrong part sent to him!!! What do you think about that. I need to know how yours fit Allways Lost! Thanks i see how maybe they would stiffen up the springs for traction [wheel hop] like they say but, i dont see how he said he got another inch out of them? So are you planning to relieve some area for the bottom bolt,is it possible, do you think this guys right and you have the wrong application shackles? Be a couple more days before mine arrive to be able to tell you.
