Low rail pressure under stock power
I have been trying to figure out why my rail pressure is so low. I also have a black/grey haze at part and wot. First I have 12psi at the cp3 at all times so it is not that. I took all the programmers off and at wot i can't get any higher than 12k according to my snap on scanner. At very light throttle it will stay at around 15-17k and if you lean on it a bit it will drop and never come back up. The scanner says the desired pressure is 20k but it says around 12 or so power is down too. the cp3 is stock. I am not sure if I need an arson kit, fca, or a whole new cp3. any opinions?

If your getting smoke and low pressure in stock form the there are only so many things it can be.
Cp3 is bad- Doubt that is the problem
FCA is bad- Could be, can be checked by swapping in a friends
And were my money goes, Injectors- Most common occurance on these motors. You have the 2 main symtoms of bad stixs.

the rail is capped. I check my oil often always right on the full not rising. I have had 3 bad injectors when I was running a volumizer which adds alot of pressure. since I have been using the tst so i don't raise the rail pressure and only use the 50 hp tow on the bullydog. it never demands above 22k. I was leaning towards a bad FCA. i was thinking it is not opening up all the way. the truck runs and drives fine just down on power when i have my foot in it and i have a haze behind me. if i turn the tst above 2 it adds more boost but no more power and high egts.

Im not so convinced that they are 100hp injectors. I asked a set of stock ones from industrial injection when I had injector problems the second time. they said they sent me 3 flow injectors as i remember but it didn't seem to make the truck any faster.

another thing i noticed today when i was towing a trailer. when the rpms are low it has a light haze. when I leaned on it and it was above 2500 it would smoke pretty good with the boost around 32-35 trans would shift and the smoke would go away. BTW i had the bullydog on 50hp tow setting. I think I am going to pull the injectors and get a set of flux injectors unless anyone has any other ideas. I was thinking about a set of 2.5 and putting in an arson kit.

I want to send my injectors to Don to get them checked and upgraded but it seems he is very busy. I don't want to be without wheels for a month or two. I don't really want to send them to anyone else.
