Low boost fueling?
I'm learning alot about my truck through this forum, mainly due to the experience and professionals in this forum. Figure me if this is a newbie kind of a question.
I have an 04.5 2500 and on this I have an Edge Juice with attitude CS. In this there is an option you have to set for low boost fueling. Levels are from 1-5. Could someone explain to me:
1. What exactly is low boost fueling?
2. What good is it for me?
3. Is it bad for the truck, good for it, or neutral?
4. Recommendations on where to set my levels?
I am trying out levels 1-3 to determine which power level is best for daily driving and mileage. So far level 3 seems to be the best all around and now I am trying to dial in the fine tuning.
Thank you in advance.

The low boost fueling is frequently referred to as TQ management in other prrogrammers. It allows for better throttle response by adding more fuel at the same throttle opening whne boost is below 12 psi. The OE boost tables drastically reduce fuel if the boost is under 12 psi for emissions reasons. The downside is it take smore throttle and rpm to get the truck moving from a stop.
Too much fueling low is hard on mpg, a little helps get the truck rolling faster and keeps the rpms down. It ends being a trade off whats better depending on your truck and driving habits.
The extra TQ has negative effect on auto trans life becuase the OE pressures are low and it tends to slip clutches. The same is essentially true for a manual but they handle it a little better.

So essentially to save fuel and trans life it would be best to run them on the lowest setting. For get up and go during low boost I would need to have it set high. Did I understand that correctly? If that's the case I can set it low for towing and mileage and truth it up for normal driving. Thanks
