I have heard and seen Mike's solution. It scared the daylights out of those ricers and a couple of Hooters girls! And upon inspection, I thought at first it was a weapons pod of some sort. Anyway, I have to do something about that little wimpy stock horn too. It belongs in a Hyundai, not a diesel truck. Anybody come up with a solution that does not involve a locomotive or ship?

I went the cheap route. Just go to ebay and buy a cheap set of horns. Yea they are a little cheasy looking and they are plastic but they are loud. The ones I got just run a very small compressor (just enough for the horns) and connect with a short length of tubing to the horns. Mine are run by the normal horn switch just tapped into the horn wire and ran it to my relay that came with the kit and hooked it up to the battery. Now when I hit the horn they all come on... It isn't a train horn but with all of them blasting it is definately loud and cost me about $20.00

Doogie, one of our members, showed up to a DTR event with an actual SP train horn hooked up to a scuba tank! It truly was off the hook as far as loud!!

I have 2 BIG brass air horns off of a 1950's vintage portal crane that we scrapped at work. The pipe inlet is 3/4" NPT. I hooked them up to my air compressor in the garage and every new years eve, I win the neighborhood noise contest. Was thinking about putting them in the truck. I have the pacbrake compressor, need a big reservoir.
