Lookin for a muffler

I got a 2004(not a 600) my truck already has a full 4in. stock system but Im lookin for a muffler that will fit in its place. Does Magnaflow or Silverline or someone like that make one that will fit in the OEM's place with out a lot of hassel? Also want to put a chip/module in have read alot of things on a bunch of different ones but I like to here from the people that use what there bragin about. What kind of suggestions yall got. Do alot of highway and city drivin but I also got a 5000 lb. Kubota tractor with a 18 ft. 7000 lb. rated trailer. No long distance pullin less than 100 miles one way but a lot of different terrains. What do yall suggest?

Magnaflow makes an awesome quality muffler 4" in/out, about 30" long so you will have to add a 4" extension. Mine is a little too quite for me but I dont want the 70-80 mph drone that comes along w/ strait piping these things. Be sure you have all 4" and not 3.5" to the muff then 4" out the tail. As far as chips, I love my six gun (can't wait till tomarrow I will get it back w/ new program) but be sure of what your getting into as far as voiding your engine and driveline warranty. I'm sure you will love any exhaust mod you do, your turbo will love you. I think a muffler is all you should need, as far as exhaust kits I dont see how these complete turbo to tailpipe kits can be much better, 4" or 5", than the stock pipe w/ a strait through muffler, unless you go to some unGodly amount of hp. Are you an auto or six shooter?

If your truck is NOT A 600, then it does not have a FULL 4in stock system.
It is 3.5" from the turbo to the muffler, and 4" from the muffler back.
I also have a 2004 (not a 600)

Donaldson Part number M090544 4" input, 4"output, 51" overall length.

If you prefer something a little louder then try
Donaldson Part number M085171 4"in, 4"out, overall length 40"

It is my understanding these are both Straight through mufflers.
The 51" has a flow rate around 2000cfm, and the 40" around 3000cfm

I'm just passing on what I have read on other posts.
Any straight through muffler will be a BIG improvement over stock.

The stock exhaust is 3.5" except for the outlet from the turbo and the tail pipe, so you should look into a 4" system which will give you plenty of options, such as Silverline, Banks or an aluminized steel system with Aeroturbine. Lots of options for exhaust.

As for the fueling box, the new programming in the Banks Six-Gun is very good with a much stronger bottom end than the previous version. The Edge Juice also runs really well when it gets released.

I just installed an Aeroturbine on my 600, got it from Diesel Power Products (Man, they are great to deal with!) along with some tubing, clamps and a hanger. I installed it in about a little over two hours (including bending up a couple extra hangers just to make me feel better). It sounds good, not too loud, seems to be more responsive than before. I have not checked the mileage yet.

It's not loud at all. It's a little louder than stock with a lower tone. It would make a difference in where you put it to. I had it right before the rearend and it was to quiet.. I went with a 51" donaldson that I opened up.. It sounds really good!!
