little help with lift and tire fitment guys? whacha think?

OK guys, here is my perdicament......and yes I spent along time yesterday using the search feature.

My 06 got totaled a few months ago and I was able to get the wheels and tires off before they towed it away. It had a 4" superlift on it which was unusuable after the accident.

Forward to today....I have an 07 stock suspension. I would like to put my wheels and tires on but for a few reasons dont want to/cant drop money on another lift right now. Here's the kicker. They are 18x9 procomp wheels with 4.75 backspace and 35x13.50-18(325/65-18) Mickey Thompson ATZ. Only have a couple thousand miles on them so they are like new. Id like to do the minimal I can to get them on there.

Anybody tried some of the 3" spacers? Did you need anything else besides shocks? What do you guys think I can do to get them on there? I have looked at one of the kits on ebay that topgun sells. just a 4.5 spacer lift for 700 but i dont really have it right now and would rather not spend the money

Opinions, comments, and suggestions are welcome.

I've heard of guys getting 37's on our trucks with only a leveling kit, but i think that's with stock rims?? that probably doesn't help but figured I would throw that out there. :-)

There is always a chance they may fit, but I am kind of doubting it without having 4 inches of lift in front. I have 4" lift, 35 x 12.50 bfg mt on 9" wide wheels with 4.5 inches of back space and barely clear the rear wheelwell at full lock. I did have 2" level blocks with 9" wide procomp wheels with 4.75" of backspacing with these same tires and they barely cleared but would rub a little when turning tires on inclines and stuff. I only ran them for a couple weeks before putting my lift on. There is so much variation in these trucks, it is really hard to say yes they will or no they won't. Tac

I don't think a leveling kit will be enough with the backspacing and tires you have. I recently put 18 x 9 predators with 5.5 backspacing on with 35 x 12.5 toyo mts and I have slight rubbing on the back of the fender liner while turning. The truck has a 2" spacers on it. You will probably need a 4" lift to avoid severe rubbing issues. Test fit the wheels and see what you need.

That is correct if he was using stock wheels and most tires that are 12.50 or maybe even 13.50 wide. Backspacing is important since his wheels are wider than stock and have a lot less backspacing in conjuction with a 13.50 wide tire. Everything is shifted to the outside of the vehicle, therefore the tire sticks out some, which looks darn good, but without enough lift, it will hit the rear fender wheel. My brother (unrulynfs) has 40's on his truck, but before he went with more lift, he had to make room using a cutting tool.

Shoot...you too?

Makes me think of that song by Rodney Carrington...

"The exhaust pipe is tighter than my ex-wife...gonna marry my pick up...pick up truck!"

Heres mine. All I have is a 2 inch leveling kit and they fit fine. I had to do a little trimming on the inside of the fender, but its nothing that you can see unless you get under and look at it. Mine are moto metals, with 35" Nittos

For what it's worth, I'm running Eagle 20" wheels (with around 4.65" BS) wrapped with 35x12.50 Toyo MTs and a leveling kit only. I rub pretty good at close to full lock and can catch my flare if I'm not careful. I need to get a 4-6" lift probably.
