I am replaceing my LOF with a W/L (had some lights out) I did not like where the LOF was becouse it partially covered the spare tire access port. I was wondering if anyone has reversed the double sided tape pads and mounted to the botom of the tailgate, it would be more visible, also I dont use it for work its just a tow vehicle.
Any other ideas?

I noticed the interference as well. I just removed the plastic grommet and put it in the cab. The WL fit flush and looks great. Doing this doesnt interfere with lowering the spare tire. I got to find this out twice within 1000 miles of adding the WL!

Also the WL can be had for much cheaper if you go look through some JCWhitney books! Recon does have some very very excellent customer service though. My first WL had 3 red leds out on the extreme left of the bar. Recon made me send them a pic of the bar with the lights on and they sent me a new one asap! I did reuse the old WL bar though, my mom and aunt were looking at it and told me to tape off the 3 offending leds and 3 good leds on the other side to maintain symmetry. Pretty good fix for a while!

I had 4 lights out but they said only 90 day warranty I quess I got the Christmas gift that I have to keep getting! They did offer me a discount on a repurchase which I did but if this one goes I probably wont get another I only use the truck to pull my boat, I put less than 3000 miles since January. I know I need to it drive more
