To lift or not to lift?
right now I'm leveled with 33's but am thinking hard about putting a 4" lift with 35's or a 6" with 37's
Give me your opinions along with pros and cons. Trucks runs good the way it is. Just wondering how much performance I would lose by raising 6 and adding 37's

I have 35's on a 4.5 tuff country lift with after market wheels no rubbing it's the back spaceing on the wheels that make them rub. If you run 37's on a 4" lift them rub if you don't trim the plastic thing on your bumper

Pros: The truck looks very nice with the lift and tires.
Cons: The ride is not as good as stock. The tires and 3.73's are not ideal for the towing I do.

This may sound crazy, but I believe it since it happened on two different trucks. On my 99 and my current 05 the trucks DID ride worst then stock with lift kits. However, when I put dual shocks up front I think it actually rides as good or better then stock. Twp helps control the front end better then a single shock can even if it is a better grade of shock then stock.

I didn't lift mine and most folks think it has been. I get asked what lift is on it all the time. I like the unlifted look a lot, looks tougher to me.

I don't regret lifting my truck at all. A stock truck is useless for where I need to get snowmobiling in the winter. I like the looks better for sure. MPG really doesn't change it's the tires, can still tow a pretty heavy trailer to. I don't regret it at all, i'd do it again in a second

Just my $.02, I went with the Carli 2.5 Performance package, and on the road it's like night and day. Great ride. I don't even have to slow down for speed bumps like I used to with the stock suspension. Offroad, I haven't gone airborne like the Carli guys, but I can notice a big difference over stock suspension. And I do fit Toyo MT 35's without any rub issuses. It's all in picking the right wheel/tire combo. Get the right wheel offset/backspacing combo, and you will be good to go.
