leveling kit and 285s

Is anyone running a leveling kit and 285s? I see most people jump up to a 315 or 35"... but I was curious on how 285s would look under there... pics would be great!

I had 285's and a leveling kit on my 03 and they looked too small. I went to 315's and they were perfect. 285's look great on a stock height truck.

I had them for a little while and they looked ok, it all depends on if you like the normal size tire look or the fill the whole wheel well look. I now have 35's and while they look great, there not the best with 3.73 gears, so I will be getting the new 305 BFG A/T's or some 295 Nitto Terra's next to compomise look and performance. Oh yea my gallery has the pics of 285's and the leveling kit, I havent updated them.

So Which tires should I get considering I want the MOTO METAL 950 wheels and the 2" leveling kit??? 285,295,305 or 315/70/17??? I wanted to get the 315s but now I am hearing that it will effect the 1/4 times and really slow it down, is it that bad?? That noticable?? Which ones should I get that will have the best looks and still have the same performance?

Im not up on all the wheel related stuff so i couldnt tell you. I dont run at the strip but i can tell you that people that ive talked to said they havent noticed/or slight improvment in et's with 285's and anything bigger than that they got slower. If your at the strip a little, id look at some nitto's and stay away from the mr/t's there to soft and wouldnt last for $%!&.

its alright, im tired too. No the bfg A/T are a good tire, i was looking at them but i dont tow or anything and have a bad habit of playing in the mud so i went with the mt/r's. But if i was at the strip and towed a little i'd go with the a/t's in a 285-70-17's, just my opinion but get some more ideas because like i said im no expert.

I have a 2'' Hell Bent Steel Leveling Kit and BFG AT 285's on mine. Here are a few pics. So far I am real happy with the ride, performance, and looks of the tires. I may switch to Mud Terrains next time, but will prob stick with 285's. IMO, the 315's are just a little big.

I've got BFG MT's on mine w/o a levelling kit. They are 285/70-17's and I think they look great. I had to play with the tire pressure on the fronts to find a comfortable spot. At 60psi from the tire shop the truck wandered all over, felt like a 71 Caprice! 45psi and they feel like the stockers. I also have a relatively heavy trailer and with a levelling kit I would end up trailering with the nose higher than the tail.
