You can run 35s on your stock wheels, or just hit ebay for a set of hummer tires and wheels which don't rub on mine. I have the same problem with the lift kit since I tow a fifth wheel. I may still try the small leveling kit, but since I'm not rubbing and don't have the death wobble I'm thinking I'm going to leave it the way it is.

I have a DayStar 2" spacer kit with BFG 315s(34.5"). Have over 36,000 miles and no real problems. I did switch to Rancho 9000x shocks, but they are OE replacement size.
My 315s are mounted on stock 17x8 wheels and I have no rubbing at all. Probably depends on the back spacing on the 17x10s whether or not you will have any issues or problems.

Leveling Kit
I went with the rancho leveling kit and rs 9000s from 4 wheelers supply 1 800 606 6421. The kit was around $180.00 the shocks were $80.00 or so a piece - make sure you get the shocks with the extra travel for the front. The kit comes with longer control arms and new bump stops also. I have over 15,000 miles with this set up and had not a single problem - get a good alignment right away. I also pull a 28 foot fifth wheel toy hauler and with the help of the firestone ride rite air bags and 20 psi. the truck rides very nice and level. IF you have any questions give me a yell.....
