Level my truck?
I was thinking about raising my truck in the front but to get it level the spacers i need would require longer shocks. I have decided to lower the rear a couple of inches. I am having no luck finding drop shackles for a 2006 2WD 2500, any suggestions guys, just would like my truck level.

I don't know for sure but alot of guys will have their springs recurved to lift there trucks but the problem was it ended up sagging back overtime, you may be able to recurve to lower but not sure, problem is they may need to remove some springs which would lower your towing capacity. This is a big time guess though have no idea if it would work.

You could remove the spacer blocks between the axle and springs on the rear or install Daystar 1.5" coil spring spacers for the front (new shocks are not required).

I've read that alot of people just buy the 2" leveling kit & it sit's level. I haven't heard of anyone needing to buy new shocks! They just buy new shocks to make it ride better.

According to 4wheel parts, if you use the Daystar leveling kit (2.5") you'll need to get shocks with it. The whole kit with shocks shipped is $271. Not sure how much you want to spend, but I think I would raise the front rather than lower the back.

I know you have a 2WD and I've got a 4WD, but I just installed 2" spacers in the front of mine and my front is now 0.5" higher than the rear (measured by wheel well clearance). I have a set of 2" rear blocks on order, and will be removing one or both of the stock 3/8" spacers. For now probably just one, and then see how level it is while towing. I don't want the front end pointing to the sky.
If you 2WD has the same 3/8" rear spacers, you could remove both of those and it would help level the truck a bit. Or try and find a 1.5" front spacer. You shouldn't need new shocks for that.
