Do you have to drop the transmission in order to install one of these flexplates....or can you get the trans. back far enough to install?

have to pull the tranny in my case since some other parts were replaced that the messed up plate could have damaged.

tranny will be coming out again within the month....going to install a billet flex plate, freeze plug plate, and billet outputshaft.

Yeah, I was gonna say about 1/2 a roll of duct tape. But, I think you're right, you'd need the fiberglass for a little reinforcement.
