Lets talk flex plates...
So we are trying to obtain a DTT billet flex plate....DTT doesn't have one in stock, plus the 2 feet of snow they are under doesn't help anything. I need to be on the road ASAP....
I hear good things about BD's flex plate? (even though i'm not BD fan)
Whats this i hear about laminated from Suncoast?
Weld two flex plates together?
since mine blew up, this was the story of the day:
Start before 7am going to get the trailer, go to class, leave College Station at 12:20 headed for Midlothian to James Northum's DTT shop...returned back at roughly 8:30 tonight. Then loaded up another truck thats headed for Houston tommorrow on the trailer we rented out......
SPECIAL thanks goes out to "Boarbuster" for his work and incredible driving skills

I...was.....driving a couple hundred miles every weekend going deer hunting. The stack was loud and would blow in the wind ALOT...so much that i would have to stop, get in the bed, and adjust it in every town. Not fun. It might go back after deer season...or i'll keep the "sleeperized" look

I'm using BD's flex plate….only cause it was the cheapest. Holding up to nasty 20lb launches just fine. It is SFI certified, but I don’t know to torque rating it is certified up to. They are all a little different.

well found out now that BD is out of flex plates too.
Suncoast is my only option unless a DTT fp turns up somewhere in stock at a tranny shop.
I am not a fan of ATS and will only use their Exhaust manifold...since Advanced Turbo Systems originally made that manifold before ATS bought them out. I've heard of and seen too many issues to use ATS....i think theres even a lawsuit going on right now with ATS

I have the Suncoast Laminated flexplate. It has held all my 20+psi 4wd launches with Smarty, TST and EZ stack. TC locked in first and stays locked through all shifts in the 1/4.
BTW the stock flexplate never made it to OD with that stack the first time it was tried.

Welp, at least you know the TST is worth it. Now you can sell all that other stuff and get you a TURBO!
I have told 973604x4, and I will tell you guys, there is just somthing about this time of year when stuff just goes wrong. Every year for me around this time I break somthing really bad, motor 12/04, trans 10/03, diffs 11/02.
I sure hope I passed it on to 97360 this year and my curse is broken
Sorry dude
