Left You Stranded?
Please do NOT bash boxes here, but I am just curious if anyones box ever left them stranded?? I have read about boxes causing codes and drivability issues but have they ever left anyone stranded??
Supposedly boxes have built-in safety features which will leave them in a FAIL-SAFE mode to prevent that from happening.

Out of all the boxes i've had on the 2nd gen and the present 3rd gen none of them has left me stranded. Well... Once I snapped a u-joint that I could have blamed on the box, but I did limp home on front wheel drive. The only times I have been stranded was due to faulty lift pumps. "Knock on wood"...

None of the boxes(6) or downloaders(2) or double/triple stacks have left me stranded so far. Only time it needed a tow in the last 2 and a half years was when the rear freeze plug blew out at the 1/8 mark on the track couple weeks ago. That could be associated with the triple stack at the time I guess, but the boxes and downloader were working just fine at the time .

The only way I would think of a box making a truck electronicly fail, is if a connection came loose. All modules wont even start if the clips dont latch, so I wouldnt worry about the box, worry about your foot and the drivetrain.
cmon its not a gasser...diesels never die
