Most streetable? Well thats up to you.

I would suggest a 62mm or 64mm up top and an s400 standard or s400 modified on the bottom depending on which top charger you decide to go with.

I know of two trucks running special silver bullets on top of phat bastards...on the street. Not all inducers are the same and not all 57/62/64/66's pump the same. The most important thing is for the system to be matched for direct(low boost) and bypass flow(once the top wastegate opens). ks

Now your talking....s400's are available in reman for 400 to 600 and new from 600 to 800. They make the best set of twins possible. ks

I'm not sure what your definition of streetable is................ but I just measured a top turbo (S4 hybrid) from a Scheids open class (now Modified Class) twin setup. These aren't for the street and have been known to easily peg a 200lb boost gauge with a P9600. If I did my math/conversion corrrectly, it has a 75mm inducer. My point is that 66mm is fairly big for a top turbo in a street combo. I'm not saying it won't work for you, epecially if you are willing to stay in lower gears at cruise to keep drive pressure up. A set of big twins that make no boost at say 60mph, 1700rpm, flat road cruise may the hot ticket for some folks but a killer for others.

The question few people ask about street turbo's is "at what rpm does the turbo make X lbs. (meaningful lbs.) of boost" both at WOT and normal driving. Normally people ask "how fast do they (or it) spool?" Very different questions.

Normally, I wouldn't argue with someone about an S400...but I'm hoping the charger I have in the barn will outspool and outflow it. But it's a bit of an exotic

S400/B2 is the only charger I recommend to anyone building a twinset!

i have been reading on here that the 66 spool is kinda laggy unless really fuelled for it but in a twins setup the top seems to spool faster (from what i have read from the guys with hx40 twins). so i kinda thought it might work the same way with the 66, but i guess going smaller may make for better downlow grunt

HeHe!

Garrett GT45R Ball Bearing! Planning on a 1.15A/R housing, externally gated of course. Need to talk to Garrett and see how big a wheel I can get in there. It has a 71mm in it now, hopefully I can get an 80mm in it!

I'm hoping the BB design, and smaller exhaust housings will let me run a little bigger wheel, and behave better than a B2/S400...not that they aren't good enough, I'm just shooting for something "more funner"

Also need to call Garrett about their new BB GT37R's for the diesels...and if it would hold up to being force fed by that GT45R

Not a chance...in twins, the charger will spool slower than by itself. BUT, if your primary is small enough, it will "act" like it's spooling a little faster...basically the big charger starts pushing it harder!

Keep in mind that I've only ran 12v's, and a couple 24v's...I understand the CR's like more charger, but a SPS66 on top is Pro-Mod drag racer territory I think it would be a lag pig to about 2500RPM...but I've never ran one!

Chris, I looked at that turbo for awhile...I'll be very interested to see how it works out....It will spool faster than an s400 but unless you get a big compressor wheel on it I can't see how it can move more air....do you have a turbo map for it...I used to have one but I just looked and I couldn't find it. ks

So can I use my 66 on the top in a twin setup? If so what would I use on the bottom?
