Kore Chase on order.

After a long decision process I placed my order. Kore Chase is on its way. I've been trying to justify the added expense of a 2.5" shock system. And, which suspension to get. I won't be racing or jumping my truck. (that's what my quad is for) Needed a suspension for running a few miles through the desert, and the ability to screw around off-roading. After talking to a few Chase owners I'm confident in my decision. Improved pavement ride was a high priority too. Truck is my daily driver.

Looking forward to the install. After hearing the price that shops were charging to do this, gave me a great excuse to my wife to pick up an air compresser and air tools. I understand that the insructions that are with the kit make the installation pretty straight forward. Any tips or ideas that you guys might have would be appreciated.

Did you find that an alignment was in order after install?

Do the alignment whether you think it needs it, or not, because it DOES need it. Goodyear Express has a great lifetime package, and you can have them re-align each time they rotate/balance.

Who's installing? You know Sage would probably still do it, and he know's it as good as anyone does.

KORE Chase invalidates warranty.

My friend with an '05 CTD w/KORE Chase just had his front suspension warranty cancelled by Jack Powell Dodge in San Marcos. Complaints were ball joint play and steering gear leakage. The dealer wrote:"front suspension warranty cancelled due to suspension modification." No justification for this as the KORE,Carli,Lorenz systems work within the stock steering geometry. Oh,Well!

Terry-
I pmed a reply to yours but I'm not sure if it went through. This wireless set-up I have sucks. Let me know if you did not get it.
I will have it re-aligned. Better to be safe than sorry. Just had it done twice after tires were installed. First time the tow was still way off and tire was beginning to cup. Quality work.

Bummer to hear about warranty not covering ball joints. Better take it to another dealer and try again. A lot of dealers will try to get out of anything. But there are some, from what I have read hear, that will actually look at the issue and not just look for a reason to get out of coverage. Let us know what the final outcome is.

Unfortunately, the dealers that try to deny warranty work and issue cancelations altogether are quickly becoming the norm. Bunch of a-holes! And now's about the time, that some smarty-pants will chime in and say "you play, you pay". And in advance.....shuddup!

I second that. I bet most of "you play, you pay" comes from members that work for a dealership. It has been well documented here that our trucks are suspect to bad ball joints early on. I myself think that I may have a problem that has not shown itself yet. Drives fine. When jacked up I can wobble both wheels from front to back and top to bottom. Slight wobble, but it's a wobble. This was pointed out when 315's were being installed. So if there is a problem it did not come from larger tires. What is the warranty for ball joints? I know that bearings are only covered for 36,000 miles. Probably the same.

I've had decent luck with Hine Dodge in San Diego and asked a service writer I've known for many years if he could help my friend and his reply was: "Nope.Modifications to stock are grounds for cancellation" I feel if every truck was setup w/KORE,Lorenz,Carli suspensions it would prolong suspension components. He's just going to live with it until aftermarket b.j.'s come out.

You could probably find out what the Lorenz coil rates are by calling him. He's not hush-hush like KORE.

There is a simple solution to that: Small claims court. No need to spend big bucks on lawyers. The dealer will tho, and quickly learn.

Sean has everything list on his website, also he will tell you exactly how he valves his shocks. Sean is also in the process of releasing his new kit, which uses the Fox 2” adjustable shock.

For comparison, factory Dodge diesel snowplow-prep springs are 447# rate. LORENZIndustries.com HD diesel coils are 580#.

from seans site. he is also working on new coil springs, "infinite rate" as I understand it

04 SO CA, good luck with your chase

Cowhand,
I guess you would be the expert on suspension setups.

Not me, I'm just quoting the "expert".
