KMC Rockstar wheels
Has anybody put these wheels on a SRW truck? I want to buy a set for my truck, but do not want wheels that stick out a lot and throw mud and snow down the side of my truck all the time. Pictures would be great
I do have bushwacker extend a fender flares right now with 315's on H2 wheels. They throw some gunk on the truck but not too bad.... I would not want worse.
Also I can only find these wheels in a 20" X 8.5" ( I want 20" wheels). It seems this is a bit skinny for 35" tires as the recomended rim width is a minimum 8.5" for most 35" tires I was looking at. I am leaning towards the Pro Comp Extreme AT tires myself. They quote the back spacing as 5.14" and offset as 10mm for these wheels. If anyone has tried these do the tires wear ok on the 8.5" rim?
Any advice / pics appreciated

I know they make a 20 x 12, and im pretty sure they make a 20 x 10 in these. The 8.5" rim should work, how wide are the tires taht your looking at getting? I knew a guy that ran 37 x 13.50 on stock rims, but it was on a ford. The ford factory rim shouldn't be any bigger then the dodge factory rim.

They do make a 20x10 and 20x12 but the 20x8.5's are your best choice because they offer the most backspacing. Im not sure how much (if any) lift you have but the 20x10's only have 4.5" of backspacing and would require at least 4" of lift to run 35's without rubbing. With the 8.5's being and 1.5" narrower and having 5.14" of backspacing your less likely to get any rubbing if you're only running a leveling kit.

Sorry I forgot to mention in my sig that I had put KORE suspension on the truck. The tires I want to run are 35 X 13.5 Pro Comp Xtreme AT's. They show as 34.8" tall & 13.9" wide on their spec sheet, and a 8" to 10" rim being acceptable.

The biggest amount of lift that KORE sells right now is 3" and with a 10" wide wheel that has 4.5" of backspacing I can promise you that you will rub especially with those Pro-Comps. They are some WIDE 35x13.50's. I have 325/65/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers on 18x9 Moto Metal 951's with 4.5" of backspacing and I had to go with 5" of lift to keep them from rubbing. Those Pro-Comps are also almost a full inch wider. I would go with the 8.5" wide Rockstars. They should fit fine and if you have a good tire guy he won't have a problem mounting them. It may be a little harder for him to get them set right, but he can do it.......

Not sure what you are worried about. The 20x8.5 wheels have the perfect specs to run 35"s with limited (2"-3") of lift. As far as tires are concerned, I ran 13" wide tires on 8.5" wide wheels and 9" wide wheels and could see or feel any difference between the two. If it's within the tires specs quite worrying about it.

I run 20x8.5 wheels and had 35" tires on them. I could clear them with a leveling kit just didnt care for the big heavy tires. I like my wheels they dont stick out much and punish the truck
