Kinda got stuck with ProComp shocks, how are they?
Well, I took my truck to Hot Rod Diesels to have some work done. (Those guys are great, BTW) Anyways, I had bought 4 Rancho Rs9000x's to go on front because I was having a 2in leveling kit and a dual shock kit put in. Well I took all the hardware to them, dropped off the truck and went on my merry way. Couple of hours later I get a call saying there is a problem. The darn shocks I bought were the wrong ones (stock length, not +2in like I ordered). They have it all tore down waiting for shocks I don't have. I decide to let them find me what they could to fit since I didnt want to pay for the same job twice. All they could find in stock were ProComps. The 9000's for the stock location and 3000's for the secondary. (4 wheel parts recommended this setup for the dual shock kit). I was kinda stuck so I said do it. i didnt get a chance to do my homework, so does anyone have an opinion on these shocks? The ride is firm but not overly stiff. Tracks nice and straight. Feels good to me, but I wonder how durable they are. And since they are already on there, am I screwed or OK? Is this a good setup?

From what I've been told by buddies that do alot of wheelin', Pro-Comps and Rancho 5000's are about even. I don't think the Pro Comps are going to be as good as your RS9000's, but you should be alright.

I agree. The factory shocks weigh like a pound compared to the others which are heavy. So far I'm pleased. The ride is firm but not too much. The stocks were too plush and I seemed to feel every little bump in the road, where the setup I have now soaks them up pretty well.
