Why would they have a problem with us using a better air filter???
If they would void the warranty because of the K&N why wouldn't they void the warranty if you use a Fram, Purolator or anything but a MoPar filter???

As to warranty, The Magnusson Moss Warranty Act administered by the Federal Trade Commission states that for a manufacturer to require that you use their consumable maintenance item to keep your warranty valid is illegal. If you consult the warranty statements from Cummins Engine Co. you will find that they will not deny warranty but will shift the warranty issue in the matter of an aftermarket product to the manufacturer of that product. That is perfectly legal. I do investigate dusted engines and all the discussion about not being able to tell if an engine has been dusted just because you thought you were so clever in switching to the stock air filter....you are only fooling yourself. Remember this, "experience is your best teacher, it just ain't one of the cheap ones". Enjoy your aftermarket air "filter".
