Just ordered my auto tranny parts,,,,, buyers remorse..
Man old man. I just coughed up the dough to get my tranny done. I feel sick!!!!!!! Come on guys tell me how good a built auto is again...LOL I shoud get all my parts in by next Thursday or Friday. Getting to old to wrestle that thing on the ground so I'm gonna have someone else tackle it. If I had a lift and tranny jack I would do it myself.

If I had to give up my turbo and duel cp3s, or my trany.. Well I would keep the tranny.

I just had my trans built too. Ouch it hurt financially!!
But it is so sweet to feel the power the Cummins will put out. Just taking off normally from idle now I see a haze of black coming from the tailpipe.......telling me the motor is actually "working" and not just spinning the inefficient stock tc.
The truck just effortlessly powers up to 70 with this new trans! To all of the guys over the past 3 years who told me the trans was the first thing to have done to the truck......I certainly agree. Unfortunately in my case, it just took time to save up that kind of money!

just be glad you are doing it now rather than getting that smarty and airdog, fraggin the tranny and then having to park it for a couple days to save a bit of coin to get r dun. I had to back down on the smarty, i can slip the converter at will. Can't afford a tranny now (unless you so generous DTR members would like to chip in to the ol help a brother out fund!). You will not regret it. I helped Lotero out last year with his tranny and we went for a ride and what a difference. night and day!

Yeah, I wondered how much of a difference a built trans would be also. Now I can say that the difference is HUGE!! You wont regret it. The only thing you'll regret is not having done it the day you bought the truck.

Oh, I am about done....... I don't have that much in this truck. Buying a one year old used truck helps. I refuse to pay what they want new even with 10,000 of MSRP. It was hard to part with the money for the tranny parts though. I'll be keeping this one for a while.
