Not a very informative post, I know, but I just ordered the Quad Commander and XZT standard box combo with all the x-tras!( A pillar mount and fuel psi sender) Lary @ DTR was great! Just wanted to let people know there are some great deals to be had by buying thru DTR! CANNOT WAIT to get it installed!

 

You'll be happy with Quad. I didn't know anything about this stuff & I had no problem with the hook ups or anything. He has great customer support.

One piece of advice.....go e-a-s-y on the 3rd-od shift. THAT spot is where
xtra power will slip. Your truck is a year older than mine but the trannys are the same. If I want to rumble, I hit the tow/haul & do my last shift manually, letting off the juice when I make that shift, eeeeeaaaasing into od, much the same as a big rig shifts ranges. Those in the know say a performance t.c. &
valvebody will hold up to 500 hp, then its into a goerend or suncoast tranny.
tc & valvebody= $1,500 perf. tranny= 4-5k.....

 

Thanks! I appreciate the info. Probably will use it for mostly towing, and I go easy on it then anyways. Will be fun to burn off a couple of tires too every now and again!
