Yep got to like the Smarty power. I just did a trip from here to San Diego for T-weekend and she always pulls the 5th wheel like a dream. I run sw1,tm4,tq4(5.09Ver) I averaged 14.1 mpgs. EGTs never went over 1100, average EGTs were 700-900. Those that have been on the 8 to Cali know its a long up hill. I love it 55-60 mph, egt's just toughing 1000-1100 max mostly arround 900-1000.
So best mod to date 1st Pac Break and 2nd Smarty Jr only because with out the ability to stop you could die.

did you do a bit of playing around with the PoD system to come up w/these settings? i just downloaded the 100hp setting and WOW!.......no smoke, just a pedal that seems bottomless now. will definitely not use this one in the rain, i'll be all over the place....

I finally got the Pac break in and it works great! and the cops here don't expect and exhaust break in a pickup truck. No tickets so far! I have not had the chance to try out the smarty jr yet. I'll report back then.

No I've only used the Pod once. I didn't find any bennie in using Pod. I get better mpgs with foot control.

Does anyone else have a recommendation as to what smarty settings to use for hauling a travel trailer?

my toy hauler goes over 9.5k and i'm using the default tow setting, no changes in the PoD. that setting works great for my rig, tows effortlessly.....
