Just installed an airdog 150 on a 04.5

I have the 04.5. I used the 05 and up harness. The only connections I made was BATT+, BATT-, Airdog pump connection, and plugged into factory fuel pump connection at fuel pump/filter housing. I am not sure why you guys are running a trigger wire. Only the 03-04 harness uses a trigger wire and you can use the 05+ harness instead.

I just wanted to make sure I had a clear understanding of the install before I tear into it, then I saw the pic of the other harness and I got confused. About that time here comes Mark to the rescue.

I have spent the last 2 days trying to get this system installed on my 05. The first hold up was the bracket install. Then the 2 of the fittings had convex innards instead of concave (this makes it really hard to thread them). But after a lot of cussing and some serious thinking sessions I thought I was good to go. The truck did start up. I was happy then it died this went on for a few minutes. then it stayed running for 3 minutes. I thought I was good to go again. I drove out of my driveway and it quit running and will not restart. I got the low voltage code and a loss of ECM communications code.
I made some very simple mistakes. First. I didn't inspect everything to make sure it all fit together (fittings) Second, I tried to follow the instructions to the letter, I cut the black line on the OE tank module plug. I think this is the culprit. Third, I did this on a holiday when stores close and pureflow doesn't answer their phone.
Tomorrow, I will talk to Toby and see what we come up with...So far I am not pleased.

Ahh and I can add that my wife thinks I'm a for trying to make this stuff up as I go along. As usual. Then she's all impressed when I've figured it out and it's all done........impressed or maybe it was relieved!

After a few hours here and a phone call to Toby I pulled the bed off (MUCH EASIER THAN DROPPING THE TANK), spliced into the orange w white wire on the OE tank plug, rechecked the pickup length, and rerouted the supply hose. I was under a 1/4 tank when it fired up. The truck died 6 times between my house and the gas station (3/4 mile with hills). The truck was filled to the top. I drove it a few miles and I it runs poorly. When accelerating on slight incline it coughs and sputters. The EGTs are 200 degrees higher than pre airdog. I am wondering if there is something wrong with the airdog I got and how much damage I am doing if I continue to drive it...
