I'm just guessing what to do with these wires and plugs because the directions aren't exact. I was gonna call pureflow today to figure this out. But, came up with my own idea instead. Not sure if it's working? Codes came up on the test drive.

P0628, P0237, P0069

What kind of idea did you come up with?

I am pretty sure you need to wire it the way I labeled it in the pic....there is not a connection to be made on the filter housing....the green weather tight plug on the airdog harness must be for the filter change indicator..thats why it is wired in the loom with the grey airdog motor plug...

53 willys 12-31-2007 07:23 PM

just wire it like this

.red=is the oem trigger wire on the oem lift pump
two wire grey plug=airdog motor
two wire weather-tight plug(green seal)=fuel filter change light
green= neg batt
red=pos batt
two wires with spade=light connection on dash
your pump will run with no codes if you hook the two battery wires up...the trigger wire(red) and plug the Airdog in...should run with just that.........

cgmorgan06 12-31-2007 08:54 PM

I dont have a red trigger wire in my harness though. So what now?

that's cause you have a 03...the 03's harness should have 2 grey plugs..one to plug in by the filter where the filter mounted stock lift pump is/was the other to plug into the Airdog......

53 willys 12-31-2007 10:00 PM

you can clearly see that the two plugs (grey with orange seal and black with green seal) go down the frame rail and hook in to the airdog and filter change indicator sensor....This is member "coolumconst" installed pump.....

P0628, P0237, P0069

P0628-LOW VOLTAGE DETECTED AT THE FUEL LIFT PUMP
P0237-MAP SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO LOW
P0069-BOOST KEY ON RATIONALITY
sounds like you unplugged your map sensor...and plugged your airdog filter change light into the map sensor????the wires you have hooked up are not right....low voltage on the lift pump is cause you are not running the airdog off the factory lift pump trigger...

No I didn't do what you are thinking. I think the codes P0237 and P0069 have been there since I lost the plastic end tanked intercooler. I never erased them with anything....oops. Now the P0628 is probably something I did. Not quite done yet.

Now something new. Anyone else seen 30+ psi with this pump? I have a 30lb. mechanical fpg and it is pegged after a slow steady climb? My stock pump would always sit at 7.5 psi. I have never heard of 30+ lbs. on one of these. Whats up with that?

something is not right...but I have no idea what you have done????If you wire it just like this then your pump should work just like stock..did you mess with the boss 0-ring fitting on the return line at the AD???I am 100% sure the 05 trucks do not have a plug and play harness...you need to find the Orange with red strip wire coming off your fuel module at the tank....find a place to splice into it...and connect the Airdog trigger wire to the orange with red stripe wire on your truck..then hook up your two battery wires and the grey plug at the airdog...it should run like stock at this point...PM me your # and I will call you and help you right now.....https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...ilies/cool.gif

does this help???

if you hook these 4 wires up then the pump should work....did you even buy the filter change light kit with your airdog????

Maybe a bad one [duhhh]. I have to get these codes cleared somehow, so I can see if I set the P0628 in the preliminary bastardization of my wiring. [laugh]

As you can see in the picture my harness is a little different. I dont have the red trigger wire. I do however have a grey deutsch plug. Where does this go?

Ok...now that I have seen both harnesses I know the way I labeled the harness IS the way it should be wired.....wire it exactly like I showed you you will be golden:cool:
