Just Bought an 07 5.9
Hey guys i guess i will be switching over to your 3rd gen forum from the 2nd gen forum now since I just bought the truck in my sig. I learned alot about the 01 I had from this website. Im hoping to learn just as much if not more about my 07 that I have now.
I know there are a few things you need to do first on the 24 valves like check fuel pressure and and install a FASS and guages to prevent any damage from bombing the crap out of it. Is there anything that I should do first on my 3rd gen before I go to adding performance parts? I know about gauges but is there anything else? Im not real knowledgeable about the 3rd gens just yet, but I plan to be. I plan to do some fairly major mods to this truck like twins, cam, injectors, studs, o-rings, stacked programmers, clutch, exhaust, intake, FASS and whatever else I decide. I already have 5-inch on the way as of this morning.
Also any tips you guys have for me like things I should do to my truck just let me know.
I forgot to ask, at what mileage should I wait to put a programmer on it? It's got 1000 miles on it right now.

key cyc
If he runs a smarty it wont mess with the key cyc. It leaves no footprint. And I think if he is going twins, fass, stacked programmers, cam, and what not I dont believe he is to worried about the warrenty anyways.

You will ABSOLUTELY have the most fun voiding your warranty and trashing your tranny/clutch w/ a Smarty!
Just kidding, I don't think anyone has PROVEN them detectable yet, you'll have some yaahoos talkin' trash, saying that they are though.
