Good to know, since I was planning on buying some 2" rear blocks, because I thought the kit came with small lift blocks.

Now, I wonder if I should just install and see how the 2" blocks look or have some 3" blocks ready to install, incase the truck sits too nose high.
You will be happy with the 2” blocks, I had the 1” block and it was ok then (California style) but I like the bulldog look better now (just a little higher in the rear).

Don’t let the front fenders throw you off as the curve of the front fender runs higher than the rear fender, giving the impression that you are lower in the back but it is actually higher in the back.

Another thing to consider is the size of the “U” bolts.
When I went from 1” blocks to the taller 2” blocks I had to change the “U” bolts as they were not long enough. Fabtech originally sent me the kit with the shorter u bolts because I requested 1” blocks.
So if you go with the 4.5”front 2” rear kit and then you change the blocks to 3”, chances are you may need new “U” bolts.

Hope this helps and please post pics when done.

Does the Fabtech kit come with extended sway bar end links or sway bar mount drop blocks?

I think since my truck has a PSC steering gear brace, that I will need extended sway bar end links......

How do you like the Sulastic shackles? Did they make that big of a difference?

My Fabtech kit came with Drop bracket/blocks

Sulastic Shackels
Rear rides as as soft as the front springs, when pushing the rear bumper down it flexes softly and nicely. The back shocks have a "real job" now

Not sure about the 4.5" kit but the 6" kit comes with a very nice set of replacement end links; not drop blocks or link extensions. Here is a pic of mine......

Those do look nice, but are they adjustable?

Since I have a PSC steering gear brace, I will need extended sway bar end links and will not be able to use the drop blocks that come with the
4.5" kit......

KORE and Carli makes nice units, but they are not suggested to be used with kits over 3" tall.

Thuren makes a very nice set for 4"-6" lift kits, that I may as well just order to match my Thuren track bar.....

They are adjustable to a point. It looks like I could adjust them down about 1" so I would think they would work with a 4.5" kit as well. You can email Fabtech and ask them; they have really good tech service as you already know.

We did something similar with a set of tera flex shackles on my buddy's jeep a few years back. Basically we added tabs to each side of the bottom arm and drilled holes for a pin in the top arms to keep them from unloading on the street or when going fast. It worked well on his jeep, I wouldn't want something like that on a CTD that tows. If you need more articulation get better leaf packs and the long travel airbags for pulling.
