I am thinking of removing the cat. and installing a strait pipe, and removing the muffler and replacing with a straight flow-through muffler,... has anyone done this?, if so , how does it sound. I really dont want an annoying drone, but i do want to hear the turbo some more.

Discussion of removing federally mandated emissions equipment is illegal, and we do not discuss it on the DTR.

Removing the muffler is fine, and there are some good muffler delete pipes around, check the DTR store for some info on them.

I have a silverline system on my truck, it's pretty open...

madhat....semper fi! i pulled duty at ndc pisc.......i kinda miss beaufort in an odd sort of way (i'm a native californian)....please give my regards to alvin ord's, still have not found a sandwich as good as theirs in 18 yrs!......pisc, where, i've been told, the real marines are born. i'd have to say it's an agreeable notion.............take care
