Isspro pyrometer is dead!

Glanced at it this morning and no worky. Guess the amp box went out? Haven't checked it out yet, but I now have a reason to put the rest of my stuff in! I got a new fuel pressure gauge, boost gauge (from 0-40 to a new 0-60), a Quad RP gauge, and a MP-8 to install.

How many of ya'll have had this problem and what did it turn out to be? What should I look for, and what should I do? Thanks ya'll!

Rick

And how much more noticeable can I expect the MP-8 to be? I'm psyched about it!

Check the grounds going to the AMP box. I had an issue with my tranny temp gauge doing stupid stuff and it was a loose ground wire.

Thanks guys, the probe is the original from when i had the 6-gun. Its been over a year since I installed the gauges. Will DieselManor still work with me? I wanna install my others but not if I cant get the pyro resolved.

Can anyone answer my MP_8 question?

I'm unable to give up my MP8. I just love it. I don't even fool with TST or Smarty pressure because my MP8 works so well.

Awesome ya'll! I know they stack well, but nobody ever gives details on how much it adds or drivability factors. I plan on running the 4.4 sw 5 with the MP-8. What should I set it on? 40? The rail pressure gauge will be in, so what rp should I be aiming for?

Just make sure the current version of Smarty software your running doesn't add pressure. If you stack pressure on pressure, you could start popping your relief valve.

I'm happy with close to 26, but not over that. I'm not sure of the gauge reliability beyond 26.5k. Its different for everyone. I ran my MP8 for a couple of years before putting the rail gauge on it. Turns out, I was running my stock injectors at 23-25 ALOT and didn't even know it.

Oh yeah, as far as the reading on the rail pressure gauge - IIRC, the RP sensors only go to 26,500 psi.
