ISSPRO Performax lighting

ISSPRO Performax lighting
I recently installed my gauges.
I am unable to turn the lighting brightness low enough. They dim with the dimmer control but go out completely during the lower 1/3 of the dimmer setting. I usually run with the dimmer setting in the lower 1/3.
I have tried adjusting the lighting by grounding the blue wire. This works as the brightness ramps up and down but the gauges do not go very low. Instead they go from what I would call a medium brightness to off completely.
Do others have this issue with these gauges? I would like to set them to dim to match the lower settings of the factory gauges.

Really!
This is a bummer. I bought a high end product that everyone raves about and matches factory and they won't turn down to a reasonable brightness?
Also, does anyone feel too much light escapes from around the needle? I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact I special ordered them with the EV2 needle. I figured this problem would be lessoned when a figured out how to turn the brightness down.
MichaelP, is there anyway to resolve this?

I'm having the same problem but I shouldn't have to buy a special dimmer switch after paying out the wazoo for these high dollar rascals. And yes I think too muvh light escapes around the needles.

This is on the Performax line. I do not know if other ISSPRO lines are similiar.
I emailed ISSPRO about this and they responded saying they are working on a fix. Luckily I am near the ISSPRO headquarters and may be testing the fix. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

The 3rd Gen uses an electronic output from the dash cluster to run the other dash lights, and it does not follow the same voltage curve for normal incandescent bulbs. The lights are still visible down to around 3.8-4.0V, versus the 8.0-8.2V of a "typical" system. Unfortunately the 3rd Gen trucks in our Beta test belonged to guys who never dimmed their lights down that far, so we did not see the problem in testing. The main issue with this problem is that the "curve" of light output versus voltage is mis-matched between the Performax system and the truck.
We are working on a software change to improve the function with 3rd Gen trucks. FB will get to be the first "guinea pig"
There is also a second component to the problem, in that there is a minimum light output level from the gauges before you start to see visible "flickering". I personally thought the flickering was not that bad, but the decision was made to have the gauge shut off completely before you dropped to a level where the flickering was noticeable. This issue will take a while longer to deal with, and it is in the gauge hardware and software. I'll see how it works with the first part addressed, then see if we need to jump into the second part.
