ISSPro Gauge Install

I have a set of pyro and boost gauges on the way and am looking at installation on 07.5, 6.7L.

If someone has done this already, I would sure appreciate any guidance.

Questions:

1) How do you get to the dimmer control behind the dash?
2) Can you use any of the bolts in front or behind the air inlet mounting it to the intake manifold? For the boost bolt.
3) Did you find it easier to take out the wheel well liner or did you use a right angle drill motor to drill out the exhaust manifold?

Thanks for helping.

We did this on my 05 5.9L (hopefully it helps)

1)We found a wire to the cigarette light worked with the dimmer. should be like a pink wire with a green stripe.

2)I used one of the bolts on top of the motor where the intake manifold is, works well

3)Yes taking the wheel wells out makea things alot easier.

hope this helps

Thanks for the help. This makes it a little bit less shaky.

I know what you mean. Scott from MD Chapter 33 drilled my pyro out. He made it look easy, which apparently it is. Just make sure you get all the shavings with gel on the tip of the drill or someother way. It's not hard after that if you know wiring.

I wish I did have a set of wiring diagrams but the only way I know to get them is to buy the shop manual and the price is way up there. In the old days the shop manuals were approximately $13. No longer.

Thanks again, Bob

This is the best writeup Ive seen yet. Its on an 06 but hopefully wires are the same.

I drilled my EGT hole right straight in the top, no need to pull anything...and 5.9s do have a bolt that can be replaced to read boost, not sure if the 6.7s do or not.

Thanks a lot. Dieselmanor writeup is really good. 6.7s are a bit different but are similar.

Thanks for the help.
