Isspro EGT Problem....Whats the deal?
I recently switched from post turbo to pre turbo on my 03. I noticed my temps increased about 200-225 degrees. Hammering my rig up a hill put my temps to about 950-1000 degrees. A member advised that those temps seemed a little low and that maybe my gauge is off. I have two styles of Issspro gauges. I swaped out the original gauge with one that has slightly different numbering on it. That gauge showed an increase in my temps by about another 200 degrees. Hammering up a hill the temp would go to abot 1150-1200 degrees.
I did notice that when the engine is cold and I turn the key to the accessory the 2nd EGT temp gauge goes up to 200 degrees even though it is cold. That definately does not seem right. The first gauge i had does not do that. Is 950-1000 seem about right for EGT. I have a SO CTD with Edge EZ on level 4. AFE and 4 inch exhaust. I just want to make sure the temps are acurate before I start towing.
Any help would be appreciated.
